our mission

The California Tribal Emergency Response & Relief Agency (CAL TERRA) is dedicated to empowering individuals and businesses with the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare for emergencies and disasters. We believe that every person has the right to be prepared, and that a strong and resilient community is built on the foundation of individual preparedness. Through our community preparedness training programs, we aim to increase awareness and readiness among tribal and non-tribal people alike, while also providing specialized training to businesses to ensure that they can continue to operate in the face of adversity. Our mission is to create a safer, more prepared community for all.

Volunteers Needed

As a non-profit organization dedicated to emergency preparedness, we are reaching out to ask for your help. We believe that every community should be prepared for emergencies and disasters, and we need volunteers like you to help us make this vision a reality.

Our organization works to train Tribal Communities, individuals, families, and businesses on how to prepare for and respond to emergencies of all kinds. We provide training on topics such as CPR/First Aid, QPR, Active Shooter Awareness, and Community Emergency Response Team training, to name a few. We also work to raise awareness about the importance of being prepared and to advocate for policies that support emergency preparedness.

But we can't do it alone. We need volunteers to help us reach more people in our community and to expand our reach. By joining our team, you can help us make a difference in the lives of those around us.

There are many ways to get involved, from assisting with our training sessions to helping us raise awareness in the community. You can also help us by donating your time and skills to our organization. Whether you are a skilled communicator, a trained first responder, or simply someone who cares about the safety and well-being of your community, we have a role for you.

So, we urge you to consider joining our team of volunteers. Together, we can make our community more resilient and better prepared for emergencies.

If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email info@calterra.org with your name and which opportunity you are interested in.
